Abstract:The subject of this study is analysis of the distribution of Auchenorrhyncha in the layers of meadow plants. It was found that species of Auchenorrhyncha tend to occupy definite layers of plants regardless of the type of the meadow habitats examined. Vertical movements of Auchenorrhyncha during the growing season are connected with their life cycle. The habitat influences the vertical distribution of the population through the change in the life cycle of the species. The layer distribution of Auchenorrhyncha in the layers of meadow plants is also influenced by the population density and the place occupied by the population in the domination structure of the community.
