In the Anemone nemorosa population the density modifies the architecture of individuals, whereas it does not influence their development rate. Intensive feeding of wild boars is the most important factor regulating the dynamics and structure of the A. nemorosa population. The effectiveness of generative reproduction is very differentiated in the consecutive years. The effectiveness of this reproduction is very high, as compared with other populations of this species, but the proportion of individuals of vegetative origin in the population is very low. Rejuvenation of the population takes place primarily by way of vegetative reproduction, the effectiveness of which is comparable with that of other perennial species populations. Generative reproduction is more intensive and more effective at sites of higher population density, and vegetative reproduction – at sites of lower density.
