A unique collection of several hundred offprints from the second half of the 19th and first half of the 20th century, containing the results of national and world research and observations in the fields of entomology, hydrobiology, zoology, ecology, systematics, limnology and related sciences.

The collection of publications contains review articles, descriptions of fauna and flora of Polish and foreign natural environments. The issues described in the publications may become the basis for ecological analyses and studies on nature conservation and species preservation. The collection contains the results of research and observations published in many languages: Polish, German, English, French, Czech, Spanish and others, concerning the environments of flora and fauna in Poland, Europe (including Lithuania, Belarus, the Balkans, Finland, Belgium) and the world (Argentina, India, Indochina, Asia, Russia, the Andes, Africa, etc.). Making publications by well-known biologists available in the repository to a wide audience with metadata in Polish and English can result in important comparative research worldwide.
