The specificity of antibodies was evaluated by a modified dot-blot technique using Hybond-N +membrane (Amersham). Selected antibodies 1II-5 (lgG3), lV-3 (IgG2b) and VII-11(IgM) were capable of recognizing different isoprenoid compounds: ubiquinone,plastoquinone, solanesol, dolichol, p-sistosterol but did not react withphospholipids, triacylglycerols or fatty acids. These antibodies may be used inimmunoblotting for identifying isoprenoids (e.g. ubiquinone) in partially purified plant extracts after TLC chromatography on glass RP-18 plates (Merck).Immunodetection ofisoprenoids was performed using secondary goat anti-miceimmunoglobin antibodies conjugated with biotin, extravidine-AP and BCIP/NBTas substrate.}, title={Monoclonal antibodies against isoprenoid compounds}, type={Text}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/138885/PDF/POZN271_174181_biotechnologia-2001-no3-wanke.pdf}, keywords={biotechnology}, }
