 abstract={The aim of this article was to determine how court rulings on the change of agricultural land use influenced the Polish spatial planning system from 2014 to 2023. In order to achieve the aim of the article, a database of rulings from the website of the Supreme Administrative Court was analysed. This is a collection of all judgments published by the Supreme Administrative Court and provincial administrative courts. The database was searched for rulings issued between 2014 and 2023, in which (taking into account both the operative part of the ruling and the justification) the expression ‘change of agricultural land use’ appears (with a variation of words). A total of 5.324 judgments were extracted, from which, after a comprehensive analysis, 142 judgments directly concerning spatial conflicts related to the change of agricultural land use were extracted. The research showed that most of the rulings confirm the impossibility of changing the use of agricultural land. Most of the complainants are private entities, nevertheless there is a serious group of public entity complainants. A significant proportion of complaints relate to local plans and zoning decisions.},
