An at-tempt to alleviate the existing problems was to allow foreign capital to invest in small domestic production on a larger scale after 1982. New companies, commonly associated with Polish diaspora capital, although they constituted the margins of Polish economic life, nevertheless became the subject of serious social discussion, as reflected in press discourse. The polemics, as confirmed by public opinion polls at the end of 1987, showed that Poles increasingly accepted foreign capital, albeit with various reservations, an important feature in the context of the transformation that was to take place in Poland after 1989}, title={Problematyka kapitału zagranicznego w Polsce w latach osiemdziesiątych XX wieku w dyskursie prasowym i badaniach opinii publicznej.
