 abstract={The article is a review of a scholarly biography of Antoni Chruściel, code name Monter, published by Bellona Publishing, who went down in history as a commander of the forces in the tragically fated Warsaw Uprising. The two authors of the biography, well-known military historians Grzegorz Jasiński and Andrzej Wesołowski, thanks to a wealth of archival sources and published texts, as well as their methodologically accurate interpretation, made a substantial and intellectually valuable contribution to the biography of one of the most important and most controversial Polish military commanders of the past century.},
