Evenness is found to be constant only if the species area relationship of the community under study has exactly the parameter values that are given by the parameter values of the relative abundance distribution of the community. Because such a situation will seldom occur under natural circumstances scale dependence of the evenness (and of related descriptors of structure) is expected to be a general feature.}, title={On the scale dependence of evenness}, type={Text}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/115784/PDF/WA058_91404_P2840-T49_Eko-Pol-A-Nr-1.pdf}, volume={49}, number={1}, journal={Polish Journal of Ecology}, publisher={Polish Academy of Sciences.
