 abstract={A 39-year-old patient was examined. A biceps biopsy was performed.Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed fibers characterized by disruption of the contractile apparatusand with A line loss in the sarcomeric system.Mononuclear fibers of small diameter, showing the features of immaturity, perhaps in the course ofregeneration, also show changes in the structure of sarcomers. Swollen mitochondria partly devoidof mitochondrial cristae were observed.Single "vacuoles", probably originating from distended sarcoplasmic reticulum channels were seen.},
