 abstract={A biopsy of quadriceps of a newborn baby was performed.Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed fibers characterized by disrupted structure of the contractileapparatus or even disintegration of myofibrils. Some of myofibers weretotally devoid of contractile apparatus and apoptotic nuclei, some of which were characterized by“ruffle-like” nuclear membraine were observed. Altered mitochondria were also seen.Ultrastructural image may suggest defects LMNA gene and deficiency in laminine A/C, what isassociated with a wide spectrum of diseases. Molecular analysis is recommended.},
