One of the more important causes of the intensive reduction of the natural enemies of phytophages is the universal use of Chemical preparations for plant protection. The author draws attention to the need for complex studies of agrocenoses in order to discover the biocenotic connections between the animals occurring there, and in particular the requirements of various species of entomophages, or often even of strains, utilized or potentially useful in biological control.Emphasis is laid in the study on the need for obtaining a better knowledge of therelations between parasite and host, or predator and prey, whether of a generalor particular nature, applying to a given pair of interdependent species. UsingTrichogramma Westw. as an example, the author discusses the importance of thetime of introduction and of the numbers of parasites introduced to the effectivenessof their control of the pest. The author considers that the type of biological controlbased on introduction (periodic colonization) will be increasingly successful in thefuture, on account of the only correct, and already generally accepted, concept ofintegrated control, in which entomophages play a far from insignificant role.}, type={Text}, title={Niektóre ekologiczne aspekty introdukcji entomofagów}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/133622/PDF/WA058_102906_P3259-15_Eko-Pol-B.pdf}, volume={15}, number={1}, journal={Ekologia Polska.
