 abstract={A 31-year-old patient with suspected mitochondrial myopathy was examined. A biopsy of quadriceps sinister was performed.Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed almost unchanged ultrastructure of fibers and normal, located submembranously nuclei. Although myofibers were characterized by preserved sarcomeres structure, significant changes in mitochondria were observed, including swelling and complete loss of mitochondrial cristae. However, the crystalline inclusions in the mitochondria typical for mitochondrial myopathy have not been observed.},
