At present, according to a new hierarchicclassification system, they are the most representative group of Actinobacteriaclassis nov. These unusual microorganisms with such rich biological activityhave had a confusing history and classification for over a hundred years. In thisreview, following subjects have been raised: important, but less known human,animal and plant pathogens as well as actinomycete-diseases; symbionts asendophytes in nitrogenase activity; agents of biological control; biodeterioration and biodegradation; primary and secondary metabolites including theirbiological, industrial and biotechnological importance. Additionally, some lipidcompounds of cell wall as immunomodifiers have been also mentioned. Actinomycetic activities have always had far-reaching effects, and these are sure to remain in different guises.}, type={Text}, title={Actinomycetes in nature and biotechnology}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/137706/PDF/POZN271_172913_biotechnologia-2002-no4-mordarska.pdf}, keywords={biotechnology}, }
