 abstract={This article concerns nouns referring to specific objects or phenomena in their original meaning and, combinedwith other nouns, may mean a quantity indefinitely large or small. The result of gradual lexicalizationin the numeral function are formal changes. The changes of grammatical categories cause the transferof units from one class to another. The author of this work presents the process of numeralization ofnouns occurring in Polish dialects, against the background of general Polish, basing on materials gatheredin the files of “Dictionary of Polish Dialects” by the Institute of Polish Language at the Polish Academy ofSciences in Krakow.},
