In many natural and anthropogenic biotopes the earthworms are among the most numerous and most often found soil animals. They are characterized by a number of specific biological features and anatomical-physiological properties, determining the important role of earthworms in biotope, especially in the processes of degradation of organic matter, formation of soil structure and the increase of its fertility. These animals exert an influence on the process of humification and mineralisation of organic matter. These are the principal physiological features used in the applications of earthworms, especially Eisenia foetida (Sav.), in agricultural biotechnology (transformation of waste, vegetable manure, fodder production, compost production).}, type={Text}, title={Biotechnology of the utilization of organic waste with application of earthorms}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/186954/PDF/POZN271_221461_biotechnologia-1990-no1-kasprzak.pdf}, keywords={biotechnology}, }
