Cerebrum polycysticum /minoria gradus/. Micropolygyria partim vera partim spura.Autopsy examination of 27-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Heidenhain, krezy1-violet and van Gieson method.In all areas of the brain but especially in the frontal and occipital regions, single or several additional gyri were found. Some of them reached the white matter, while others formed only layer less cortical protuberances. At all levels, sulci were very deep, forming numerous branches among the narrow gyri. Similar distortions were observed in the cerebellar cortex. In several places in the meninges, vessel plexuses of transitional arteriovenous structure were preserved, protruding into the gyri. Several maximally dilated stasis vessels forming deep niches in the tissue were visible in the white matter of the cerebellar lobes. Some of them were of a transitional arteriovenous nature, while others corresponded in structure to typical posterior dilations. For the diagnosis of Sturge-Weber syndrome, typical vascular-cortical calcifications were lacking. Only at one site small deposits were found among the meningeal vessels. The lack of clinical data /choroidal lesions of the skin/ makes the diagnosis even more impossible.}, title={File of histopathological evaluation of nervous system diseases (1964) - nr 202/64}, type={Text}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/206389/PDF/202_64.pdf}, keywords={Developmental defects}, }
