 abstract={The article shows the shaping of the French part of the Franco-Polish consortium, which obtained the concession to build the harbour in Gdynia. It is based on French archival sources. The paper combines research conducted separately within French and Polish historiography, offering a new interpretation of the beginnings of the Gdynia harbour. It shows that French authorities, following their government’s security policy, had a decisive impact on the selection of companies forming the consortium.},
