A remarkable advance in the studies in the area of Polish Carpathian Mountains makes it clear that we are facing a complex issue, in contrast to similar type of problems encountered in other mountains. Recurrently the interest focused on the area of German middle montainous zone. Here, like in the case of the Carpathian Mountains, the paleobotanists - not archeologists - were the first ones to come up with a thesis about seasonal forest grazing, which might take place in this area in the Neolithic period. Compilation of data and a critical estimate of sources, as well as a geographical evaluation (together with an evaluation of the settlement), and an experimental research work support the thesis o the paleobotanists}, type={Text}, title={Studien zur Gebirgsfazies des Neolithikums in Mitteleuropa}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/61169/PDF/WA308_80320_PIII149_Studien-zur-Gebirgsf_I.pdf}, keywords={Mesolithic -- central Europe, paleobotany, Mesolithic settlement -- central Europe, Mesolithic shepherding}, }
