 abstract={The article presents Polish diplomatic efforts in the Entente states, in particular France, to include Polish independence to the war aims of the Allies. Polish actions are confronted with the eastern policy of France in 1917, especially in the face of France losing its Russian ally and all significances of the fact for the Polish cause. This paved way for the Polish-French political and military alliance signed in 1921.},
