 abstract={Analysis was made of the occurrence of crustacean plankton in the littoral of 37 Mazurian lakes. It was found that the composition of the crustacean plankton does not exhibit any correlation with the limnological features of the lakes. The specialised littoral species occur, as distinct from the ubiquitous species, in the overwhelming majority in single habitats with presumably narrow specialisation.},
