Trin. ex Steud., Glyceria aquatica (L.) Wahlb., Typha latifolia L., T. angustifolia L., Acorus calamus L. and Schoenoplectus lacustris (L.) Palla. Liquid manure was found to have a strong inhibitory effect on the transpiration of helophytes, and when used as a 100% solution it caused plants to wilt within a short time. As a result of treatment with 25% liquid manure, the helophytes utilized less water to produce their biomass. Following the treatment, the water content in the plants varied much less than did the transpiration rate.}, type={Text}, title={The influence of organic fertilization on the transpiration rate in helophytes}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/75202/PDF/WA058_86960_P2840-T26_Eko-Pol-A-Nr-1.pdf}, volume={26}, number={1}, journal={Ekologia Polska}, publisher={Polish Scientific Publishers}, keywords={helophytes, fertilization, transpiration rate, water content, laboratory investigations}, }
