The netting did not significantly change the numbers of crustaceans, and only a small proportion of nauplii (up to 10%) was lost when the 60 μm net was used. Filtering was found to also affect the estimated fertility of rotifers by artificially lowering its value for the ovigerous species - Keratella cochlearis (Gosse), or raising - for the non-ovigerous species, Polyarthra vulgaris Carlin.}, type={Text}, title={Studies on the usefulness of different mesh-size plankton nets for thickening zooplankton}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl/Content/75216/PDF/WA058_86969_P2840-T26_Eko-Pol-A-Nr-3.pdf}, volume={26}, number={3}, journal={Ekologia Polska}, publisher={Polish Scientific Publishers}, keywords={lakes, zooplankton, techniques and methods}, }
