TY - GEN N1 - The photo depicts a large group of young women in folk costumes and one man posing for the camera. In front of them there is a symbolic harvester decorated with an eagle and flowers. According to the photo’s owner, it depicts the first post-war district harvest festival in Kielce on 09. 09.1945. The photo was taken by an unknown photographer and depicts a folk band from the village of Masłów near Kielce lead by the local organist (of many years, dating back to the pre-war times). At the back of the photo there is an inscription saying: “The music band from Masłów during the harvest festival in Kielce 09. 09.1945” N1 - The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
