Abstract:

The process of healing of the dissected sphincter papilla was investigated on the dogs. The follow-up time amounted from the 1-st up to the 120-th postoperative day. The healing process was finished after lapse of average period of 10 days after sphincterotomy. In the dissected area duodenal and choledochal mucosa grew together so, that the margins of the dissected sphincter were not able to rejoin togther again. During th process of healing none stricturing scar developed.
