Muscle segment examination in light & electon microscopy
Abstract:
An 27-year-old patient with suspected metabolic myopathy was examined. A biopsy of quadriceps sinister was performed. Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed swollen mitochondria. Mitochondrial cristae were disrupted and in some muscle fibres light mitochondrial matrix and total lack of mitochondrial cristae were observed
