Muscle segment examination in light & electon microscopy

Abstract:

An 22-year-old patient with suspected congenital dystrophy was examined. A biopsy of quadriceps sinister was performed. Ultrastructural assessment showed morphological changes within musclefibers and atrophy of myofibril under sarcolemma (Figs. 1-4). Glycogen clusters were present undersarcolemma (Fig. 5).
