Description:

The photo shows a big, well maintained building and a group of children with a teacher in front of it. Apparent from the description of the owner of the photo, it shows pupils of a Polish school in Rejowiec with their teacher and a director of the school in one person (…) and the grandfather of the photo’s owner. The building visible on the photo is the school in Rejowiec, built in 1922; 1933 or 34, Rejowiec Village ; The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture)
