The photograph shows a very large groupf young men accompanied by some lecturers (?). It was taken either on the stairs to the courtyard or on the stairwell inside the historical building, probably an educational institution. There are numerous arches and rich ornamentation and lit lamps by the massive stone banister. There is a stamp in the left upper corner of the photo: “Związek Studentów Archiektury [Architecture Students Association] of the Szkoła Politechniczna [School of Technology] in Lvov”. Apparent from the description of the owner of the photo it was taken after passing the secondary school leaving exam called "matura" ; The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture)
