Description:

The photo depicts three men standing on a street of a city. Two of them are dressed in military coats and caps, the third one is wearing a "kufajka" [quilted jacket]. A boy and some city architecture are visible in the background. The photo was taken in winter. There is an inscription on the back of the photo: “Dear parents I send you this photo with much respect” (some errors in Polish original). Below:”the photo shows Wiesław (…) from Żminne Village with his colleagues. It was taken in Pruszków City in 1946.”; 1946, Pruszków ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
