There is an inscription on the back of the photo: “Water delivery. The photo taken in 1940/ the wife of the community’s secretary is carring water from the community well / photo taken by an amateur (…) in the village of Puszcza Mariańska, former Korabiewice Community, Skerniewice district”; 1940, Puszcza Mariańska Village, Łódź voivodeship ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
