A group photo depicts a newlywed couple surrounded by family and friends. Sitting in the middle are a young woman in a wedding dress, with a veil and a flower bouquet, and a young man in a suit with a white bowtie and gloves. Sitting next to them is an elderly woman in a headscarf. Behind them there are standing two women and three men, all festively dressed. At the back of the photo there is an inscription saying [with some spelling mistakes]: “This photo depicts the wedding of Józef [Joseph] (…), brother of Stanisław [Stanislaus]…, 1938, 5th of June” ; 1938, 5th of June ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
