Abstract:

Micellar and microemulsion systems in aqueous and nonaqueous phasesmay be used as media for biocatalytic processes, both using enzymes and wholecells. In the paper, the interactions between surfactants and enzymes, basicrules of micellar and microemulsion enzymatic catalysis and some interestingresults obtained in aqueous and nonaqueous systems are presented.
