Description:

The photo depicts a group of smiling girls posing for the photo on grass under a tree. A young woman in the middle is holding some flowers on her knees, girls behind her are also holding a bunch of flowers. There is an inscription underneath the photo: “We are like one big family”. Written at the back of the photo there are the following words: “Pułtusk 22.V.1946. A memento of our nice time together spent in the 2nd grade; we took this group photo on our beloved tutoress Ms. Hala’s (…) name day”. According to its owner, the photo depicts her mother Janina (…) with her class 2nd A of the Secondary School in Pułtusk. The photo was taken for the tutoress teacher on her name day but for some reason never reached her. Unknown photographer ; May 22nd 1946 r., Pułtusk ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
