Description:

The photo depicts five men wearing overcoats who are standing in front of a large industrial brick building. According to the photo’s owner, it depicts a dairy in Prandocin, Miechów district, built in 1935 on a communal land, the so-called “karczmarówka”. Those days the dairy was extremely modern and therefore attracted many sightseeing gropus. Standing in front of the dairy is its founding committee comprising: from the left – (…) – a local activist, Marian (…) – a school manager, Jan (…) – a village mayor (…) – a dairy manager and (…) – a local activist ; 1935, Prandocin, district Miechów, voiv. małopolskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
