The photo depicts a group of school youth with some adults, posing in a few rows by a brick building. Among adults in the front row there are: a woman in a light-coloured dress and four men, including a priest. Next to them and in other rows there are pupils, some of them wearing folk costumes. According to the photo’s owner, it depicts an end-of-school-year ceremony of 1937/38 celebrated in front of the newly built Elementary School in Prandocin, Miechów district. Visible in the foreground are the teaching staff with the school manager Marian (…) (in the middle, tall, in a dark suit). Next to them and in the background are school pupils – the 7th grade. Standing in the last row (first from the left, in a Cracovian folk costume) is Stanisława (…) – later in her life an illustrator of school textbooks, mainly in the field of botany ; June 1938, Prandocin, district Miechów ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
