Abstract:

A 71-year-old patient was examined. A biopsy of quadriceps sinister was performed. Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed presence of few muscule fibers with correct diameter and preserved sarcomeres structure (Fig.1).Deposits of glycogen were visible under the sarcolemma . (Fig. 2,3). In many fibers necrosis within accumulation of large amount of autophagal structure and rimmed vacuoles were observed (Fig. 4,5,6,7,8). Microscopical image of the biopsy in ttypical for inclusion body myositis.
