Abstract:

Many research centres around the world are involved in apoptosis studies. This physiological cell death, also known as programmed cell death, takes placeduring the entire growth period of an organism. As a result, an organism removes unnecessary cells during the differentiation of tissues and organs andeliminates damaged or mutated cells. This paper is focused on the molecularmechanisms behind this process and describes selected detection methods.
