The photo depicts several dancing couples – women and men, in a dance sequence with intertwined hands raised above their heads. The women are dressed in identical mid-calf length skirts and dark sleeveless blouses; men are wearing sleeveless shirts and shorts. The photo was taken in a spacious room with large windows. According to its owner, it depicts first post-war rehearsals of a dance group established at the primary school in Kokoszyce in October 1945. The group was made of pupils of the 8th grade and youngsters from outside the school ; 1945, Kokoszyce, com. Pszów, district Rybnik ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
