Description:

The photo depicts a dozen or so men in uniforms and hats posing in a photographic studio. There is an inscription above the photo saying: “S. E = Father: the Border Protection Corps 1925-1927 from the sanitary course”. An annotation on the right says: “The sanitary course of the Border Protection Corps VIII Battalion Border Protextion Brześć nad Bugiem II-III / 1927” ; February-March 1927, Brest-on-the-Bug (now Belarus) ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
