Abstract:

This paper reviews information from the last decade world literature on the occurrence intissue cultures of some Lamiaceae species of secondary metabolites: monoterpenes, diterpenes,phenylpropanoids, depsides, enol esters of caffeic acid, flavonoids, anthocyanins, phytoecdysteroids and polysaccharides.The introductory part of the paper gives information on the occurrence of the biologicalactive secondary metabolites in the native plant species from Lamiaceae family.
