Abstract:

In this paper the influence of selected oils which are aromatic hydrocarbons on microbialactivity of a soil is discussed. Selected enzymes: amylases, proteases, dehydrogenases and celulase Cx were tested. Besides, a soil with added oils was modifed by adding e.g. Pseudomonas, adapted to oil degradation, CaC03 It was found that light oil added to soil lowered the enzymaticactivity more significantly in comparison with the heavy oil. Protease and dehydrogenase activityin the soil to which modified compounds were added was higher than in the control soil. However,in the soil treated with smaller doses of xenobiotic compounds higer increment of humic acidswas observed.
