The photo depicts a family: a woman and a man with three children, and a young woman in a white blouse standing behind them. They are posing in front of a porch of a wooden house, all festively dressed: the man in a suit, the woman in a dark skirt suit, boys in white shirts and the girl in a white dress. At the back of the photo there is the inscription: “A village family, a memento of the First Communion, the village of Wołcza-Dolna. 20th May 1934 (…)” ; 20th May 1934, Wołcza Dolna (district starosamborski, region lwowski, Ukraine) ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village).
