Description:

The photo depicts a group of several dozen people in winter overcoats posing for the photo in a yard. According to the photo’s owner, it depicts participants of the socio-cultural training course for the rural youth. At the back of the photo there is an inscription: “The district socio-cultural training course for the local Associations of the Union of Rural Youth “Wici” [in fact, addition of the "Wici" to name ZWM applies since 1944] held in Preski k. Jędrzejowa on 9-15. II. 1936” ; February 1936, Preski near Jędrzejów ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
