Description:

The photo depicts five people sitting in chairs and posing for the photo in front of a brick-built building. A priest in a cassock is sitting in the middle, on his right there are two men wearing suits, on his left – a woman in a skirt suit and a man in a suit. According to the photo’s owner, it depicts members of the teaching staff from a school in Irządze. At the back of the photo there is an inscription: “The teaching staff of the elementary school in Irządze” ; Irządze, district Zawiercie, voiv. Śląskie ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
