Cardiomyopathy

Abstract:

Ultrastructural evaluation of the biopsy revealed an irregular arrangement of the contractile apparatus . Numerous mitochondria of irregular shape were accumulated in the areas devo id of myofibrils. In some cardiomyocytes mitochondria were characterized by blurred structure . In the cytoplasm of cardio myocytes a clearly visible rough endoplasmic reticulum and lysosomes were observed). The nuclei of cardiomyocytes were characterized by irregular shape. In the extracellular space abundant collagen fibres were seen . In endothelial cells of an ultrastructurally unchanged vessels n umerous pinocytic vesicles wereobserved).
