Abstract:

The cultivation of Aspergillus niger, Geotrichum candidum and Mucor miehei was carried out on amedium with addition of beef tallow or poultry fat. The fungi synthesized from 0,34 to 2,98 of lipids/dm^.The degree of the utilization of the fats by the fungi amounted to from 5,1% up to 69,6%. The type of fat inmedium, species of fungi and the methods of their cultivation influenced the composition of fatty acidsand the properties of intracellular lipids.
