Object description:

Turonian flint, similar to Ożarów flint. Flint concretions with diameter up to several centimeters. Grey in colour, sometimes spotted and banded. In the Karsy quarry, in the profile of the lower part, found are few levels with small concretions up to few centimeters in diameter. Towards the peak of this profile the levels become more numerous and more abundant. Layers take a lens-like form and are one meter thick, but the measurements of concretions contained in them are unchanged. Only in the upper parts of the profile bigger concretions are found with diameter reaching half a meter. In the upper part of the profile they are replaced by large tabelaric concretions of sedimentary charater, reaching several meters in diameter and several dozens centimeters thickness. They occur on few levels
