Object description:

Świeciechów flint - Turonian raw material, grey, white speckled and spotted. Outcrops placed along the Vistula right-bank Lower Turonian deposits within the area of Antyklina Rachowa (region between Annopol, Świeciechów and Gościeradów). Flint is named after the main (possibly the only) exploration place - the mine in Świeciechów-Lasek, Kraśnik district. Raw material has been characterized by S. Krukowski, J. Samsonowicz, Z. Krzak and B. Balcer
