Abstract:

We present a model of bargaining, in which one party issues threats characterized by a number of parameters. In real life ne_gotiation threats are often "flexible", i.e. they are not all or nothing affailrs. Our model emphasizes such a nature of threat strategies, and explores possible implications of extending the notion of a threat along that line.
