Abstract:

The paper presents the mathematical models for municipal mechanico- biological treatment plant. They consist of hydraulic models describing the flow dynamics of sewage in the treatment plant basins and models for forecasting of influent raw sewage as well as for forecasting of purified sewage at the output of the plant. All these models and the physical model presented in (Bogdan et al. 2000) are the elements of a computer aided decision system intended to help the wastewater treatment plant operator. The hydraulic models are in the form of the ordinary differentia[ equations. For forecasting purposes time series or neural nets are used. ยท To train the models the measurements from the experiment performed in the wastewater treatment plant were used.
